Community Code of Conduct
Last updated: 8 October 2026 - placeholders pending legal review.
Our standard
Every member of Startup Roof — founder, investor, mentor, partner or guest — is expected to treat others with professional respect. We are a global community; assume good faith across cultures and communicate clearly.
Expected behaviour
Be accurate about your company, fund and credentials. Honour meetings and follow up. Keep pitches relevant and consented. Respect confidentiality: what is shared in Deal Desk, the Investor Lounge or mentor sessions stays there unless the owner agrees otherwise.
Unacceptable behaviour
Harassment or discrimination of any kind; misrepresenting identity, role or investment capacity; scraping or reselling member data; spam, unsolicited mass outreach or cold-list selling; pressuring members into financial arrangements outside platform boundaries; sharing another member's documents or contact details without permission.
Enforcement
Reports go to the trust team via the Contact page. We may warn, mute, suspend or remove accounts. Serious breaches — including fraud or harassment — result in immediate removal. Unlawful conduct may be referred to authorities.
Scope
This code applies on the platform, at Founder Festival and all Startup Roof events, and in member-to-member contact initiated through the platform.
